What is the cost of services?
K.O. Speech & Myo - Chicago utilizes a private pay fee-for-service model. Contact us regarding pricing for your specific service.
Do you take insurance?
K.O. Speech & Myo - Chicago operates as a private pay provider for services. While we are unable to accept insurance directly, we understand the financial considerations that families face. Therefore, we can provide families with a detailed superbill that contains all the necessary information for submitting claims to their insurance companies for possible out-of-network reimbursement. If you plan on seeking reimbursement from your insurance company, we suggest calling beforehand to learn more about the reimbursement process and your benefits.
When is my session payment due?
Each family is responsible for full, timely payment of all fees. All payments are due the day of service and are billed immediately after the visit. We accept payment through debit, credit, or HSA/FSA card.
All families have a right to receive a Good Faith Estimate (GFE). You can request a GFE at any time before you begin services.

Where are you located?
K.O. Speech & Myo - Chicago provides services in various neighborhoods of Chicago, including Roscoe Village, Lakeview, Lincoln Park, and Bucktown. Based on clinician availability and scheduling, reach out to us to determine if we are able to visit you in your neighborhood.
Where do services take place?
Depending on the needs of your family and your child, services may take place in the home, at school, at daycare, or via a secure Telehealth platform.
How long are sessions?
Evaluations are typically 60 minutes and in-person treatment sessions are typically 45 minutes. Telehealth sessions are typically 30 minutes. Sessions are typically weekly, however, bi-weekly, and monthly sessions may be options depending on your child’s needs and scheduling availability.
How long will my child need therapy?
Progress in therapy for each child may vary and depend on many factors, including the child’s age, active participation, family support, and completion of home practice and carryover. Your child may benefit from therapy anywhere from 6-12 months, with the understanding that they may require services for a shorter or longer period of time, depending on the aforementioned factors. Parental involvement and encouragement are important and necessary for therapeutic success.
What ages do you serve?
We work with a range of ages of children, typically from 12 months of age through adolescence, and even young adults. Please contact us to learn more and to determine if K.O. Speech & Myo - Chicago is the right fit for you or your child’s needs.
What is your cancellation policy?
We understand that life is busy and that unforeseen circumstances may arise where you will need to cancel your appointment. In such cases, please provide us with a minimum of 24 hours notice to cancel your appointment. We encourage our clients to reschedule cancelled appointments to ensure consistent service delivery. We will work with you to reschedule your cancelled appointments for planned holidays, vacations, extracurricular events, etc.
If you, your child, or a family member is ill and exhibiting symptoms such as fever, vomiting, diarrhea, a new cough, or is too ill to participate fully in therapy, please contact us to reschedule your appointment. Children should be fever and/or symptom free for 24 hours prior to resuming sessions or rescheduling. No cancellation fee will be applied in this case.
Appointments cancelled without a minimum of one hour of notice will incur a fee equal to half the expected payment for that session type. No show appointments will be charged a fee of the full expected payment for that session type. First offenses for each of these scenarios will not be charged.
